There are SO many hair products on the market to choose from that it can sometimes feel overwhelming to know what is worth the price or even worth trying at all. I have tried tons of products throughout the years and I finally feel like I’ve found the perfect products that work with my hair. I get asked a lot about what types of products I use, so I thought I’d share with you all too! Before I get started, I want to emphasize that these products work well on my hair (and many of my friends hair that I’ve recommended to) but if you have a different hair type than me, I can’t tell you with full confidence that it will be the same for you, but give it a try!
For the shower:
Yes, this shampoo is pretty pricey but I think it’s 100% worth it. Why? It helps repair damaged hair and keeps your hair healthy and strong. My hair feels moisturized and nourished when I’m using this shampoo and it helps prevent breakage. If you have healthy hair, you usually don’t need as many hair cuts, which saves you money that you can use on your shampoo and conditioner ;). I buy the 1000ml bottles, which lasts me about 6-7 months (depending on how often I wash my hair).
After your shower:
I love using a “wet brush” to brush out my hair after my shower. It helps prevent breakage! *Tip: brush your hair out before you shower so it’s less tangly when it’s wet.
This stuff is AMAZING! I got my friends hooked! I spray it throughout my wet hair and brush through it afterward to make sure it’s spread evenly. It helps detangle your hair, nourish it, as well as protect it from heat. One of my friends said it helps keep her curly hair less poofy and more contained too.
If you want your style to last for multiple days, you NEED this. I try and wash my hair only 2-3 times a week and this blow-dry primer helps hold my style for several days. I spray it all over my wet hair and brush through it so it’s spread evenly throughout the hair and then blow-dry or air dry and then curl! *I also spray a little bit in my roots (from about 6″ away) and massage it in while it’s wet and it gives my hair a little extra volume on top.
For styled hair:
I have tried SO many dry shampoo’s and this one is by far my favorite. It’s not sticky because it’s powdered based and smells amazing. I lift up sections of my hair and spray underneath, wait 30 seconds and then massage it in my scalp and brush through. Sometimes I use it even on clean hair just to add some extra texture and volume.
This product is pretty pricey so I only use it once in a while to make the bottle last longer. It’s fantastic for adding texture to your hair and helps bring several-day-old curls back to life! This product is also perfect for a special occasion when you want to add more volume to your style.
I hope you enjoy these products! Comment below and let me know if you try anything and what you think of it! What are your favorite hair products?!
Ps. Shout out to my and Nicole’s amazing hairstylist Malyssa at House of Cabelo in Pleasanton for our hair color. If you tell them we referred you, you’ll get $20 off your first visit!
